This scoundrel! Liu Duo thought as she nearly choked on her own spit.
Overhearing, Ye Ling blushed. Though he was embarrassed and wouldn’t say it himself, as a man, he still agreed.
“Xiao Duo, don’t be upset. Your husbands will not let you down!” Ye Liu said, becoming more outrageous everytime words left his mouth.
Liu Duo looked at Ye Ling and said: “Fourth brother, don’t be a scoundrel like second brother!”
Ye Ling looked at Liu Duo with a red face, not replying in any way.
After her last menstrual cloth was washed, the three made their way home. Ye Liu carried some barrels while Ye Ling and Liu Duo walked beside.
Since he left the other night, Ye Mo hadn’t gone back, but went to the residence of the Li Family. Li Wazi was a childhood friend who married a one-eyed wife named Li Gen’er. They were a family of three until his father passed. Since, they’d been forced to barely get by on his meager income.
“Mo, are you not going back yet? Your brothers will worry,” Li Wazi said, thinking they would worry when it was entirely the opposite.
“Worry? In their hearts, I’m nothing to them. They even told me to go find another wife! They know I won’t do that,” Ye Mo said, filled with indignation.
Though he was poor, finding a wife wasn’t impossible for him. He’s young, in good health, and able to work. Countless bachelorettes would want him.
“That slut tried to run out on us, yet she’s being well fed and spoiled when we paid to have her give us children!”
The more he spoke, the angrier he got. He started to run out, yelling: “I’ll show her her place!”
“Mo, calm down!” Li Wazi tried to go after Ye Mo, but he was too fast.
Li Wazi could only sigh in resignation: “He’s as impulsive as ever.” Li Wazi was bullied often when they were kids. Ye Mo, always there to stand up for him, left the other kids afraid.
Liu Duo was out at the well, while Ye Ling and Ye Liu were cooking lunch in the kitchen. While hanging her cloth to dry, Ye Mo rushed up, picked her up, and carried her home to their room.
Startled at being picked up out of nowhere, she screamed: “Have you gone crazy!? Put me down!”
“…” ignoring her, Ye Mo tossed her on the bed.
She scowled in pain: “Damn madman, you’ve completely lost it!”
Ye Mo stared at her, then pounced on her, holding her hands over her head.
“You’re right, I was stupid to actually bring you here! Look at us brothers now! It’s all because of you, you damn bitch!”
Liu Duo stared at Ye Mo, about to cough up blood. She worried herself to death over him, yet he treats her like this!?
